King Follett Discourse

The King Follett discourse is an address delivered by Joseph Smith, Jr., Founder of the Mormon Church, on April 7, 1844, in Nauvoo, Illinois, less than three months before his assassination. The discourse was presented to a group of more than ten thousand people at a general conference held shortly after the funeral service of Elder King Follett, who had died on March 9, 1844 of accidental injuries.
